VIDEO LINK SESSIONS
We have seen an increase in out-of-state clients, some can & do, travel to Phoenix to go through our process & resolve their issues. Many however, can’t do this, it’s a big commitment in time and being away from work/family. In response we have decided to offer Video Link Sessions.
The difference? Mostly on my side, just takes extra effort to read body language via video – for our clients? Well, it allows access to those who couldn’t get it & it saves travel time for those in other parts of The Valley – it’s a big city, many of our clients have a long drive to our office – so it may be something that benefits existing clients.
Body Language: is focused 95% in the face through:
- NLP Eye Movements
- Ekman Micro-Expressions
- Contextual Analysis (tonality & syntax of speech)
This evolutionary factor is good for video-conferencing as the subconscious messages are still available even through limited visibility. So what I do is pretty much unaffected.
This is a new and exciting development for us & we’re very excited about it – effectively increasing our geographical reach & offering more flexible appointment times!
Some years ago I ran a series of workshops called Men 101 & Women 101 – I taught men & women to understand the opposite sex in a society that tries its hardest to blur those lines. Additionally the genders have changed their behaviors over the years – we used to learn this information by observing our parents when we were young. This was a time when the Change Curve was softer.
The Change Curve is an anthropological idea – what is the measurable difference between generations?
If we go back a thousand years…
to the time when the various Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms of England had been unified into a single Kingdom – 1066 is a special year to the British, three powerful men were vying for the throne, William The Conqueror brought the Norman phase to Britain …take an average man
Average Man: if he wanted to travel he would walk, possibly have a donkey, depending on his wealth – if he were very wealthy he would travel by horse (Hollywood is not a good place to get your information – horses were only for the rich). This man would work as a farmer, blacksmith, shoe-maker. If this man had to defend himself or go to war he had the choice of a sword, shield, spear and bow.
Now lets go back another thousand years, to the time of Jesus.
Average Man: if he wanted to travel he would walk, possibly have a donkey, depending on his wealth – if he were very wealthy he would travel by horse. This man would work as a farmer, blacksmith, shoe-maker. If this man had to defend himself or go to war he had the choice of a sword, shield, spear and bow.
A man brought forward a thousand years would take maybe a day to adapt – if that. Maybe there would be a conversation somewhat like…
2K: “how do you get your sword to keep its edge like that?”
1K: “we add some charcoal and change the heating process a little and the metal is stronger”
2K: “interesting… that would have been very useful”
Yes this is a simplistic look, but you can pretty quickly see that there weren’t that many differences in a thousand years – less in terms in how men thought about women, society and honor.
How would you relate to an ancestor a thousand years in the past? You would be so shocked and terrified by the culture-the casual violence & cruelty, the superstition, the subtle indifference to death & complete lack of hygiene.
So, in this period we see a ratio that is very low – for the sake of this discussion it might as well be zero – no real difference.
Many anthropologists now put this change ratio at Seven Years
This means that by age 7 parents are beginning to lose touch with the world their children are growing up in. Think that’s extreme? How many of you relate to a world where 1st Graders are deeply involved in Gender Issues, they read books guiding them on the decision of what gender they want to be. I doubt many of you have any idea what that might be like.
With rapid societal change like this Men and Women are finding it very difficult to understand the behavior of the other as the model they got from their parents is hopelessly out of date.
So, we discuss and educate to develop a realistic working model of the opposite sex so relationships actually stand a chance. This applies equally to starting new relationships dating or trying to maintain an existing one.
The state has become involved in relationships. When the Courts make decisions regarding marriages & their breakdown it isn’t as important to be reasonable with each other – we’re left playing to the Judge through a Lawyer. BIG GOVERNMENT, THE STATE, IS THE WORSE THING TO HAPPEN TO RELATIONSHIPS & MARRIAGES. As they take away these incentives we lose our Relationship Skills and we need to regain them.
The workshops are separate i.e. Men at one & Women at another – I do couples counseling this way – no one is going to be honest with their partner there and it devolves into arguments. So we will organize a:
MEN 101 WORKSHOP
WOMEN 101 WORKSHOP
Men & women, in small groups of 6 to 8 will be able to discuss problems and ideas regarding relationships. We will be be able to address those questions and understand what is actually going on in dating & the relationships that follow.
📅 Kelly is looking at scheduling the first workshop so if you’re interested or want more information please contact her – here
